We made two trips, the first in April, then again in May to revisit Atayal elders that were filmed for the documentary,
Voices in the Clouds.
On April 16th and 17th we attended the 2005 Hualien International Totem Festival in the beautiful city of Hualien on the East coast of Taiwan.
On April 17th we broke off to film revisiting the last three surviving Tattooed elders of the Hualien area.
Alice presented gifts of photos from our filming in January and certificates of recognition.
